Our choir is a community choir in every sense of the word: it is created from members of our community, for the enjoyment of our community. We are a warm, welcoming SATB group of about 40 volunteer singers, ranging in age from young adults to (relatively!) older. We do not ask for an audition to join, but look for commitment, enthusiasm and a willingness to be challenged. We are always keen to support each other, which results in true harmony. These are the key components of our choir.
We very much fulfil the philosophy of the growth mind-set with the attitude when starting a new and challenging work, which can range from classical to contemporary, with a few surprises in between! 'We can't do it .... YET'! The satisfaction of performing to a high standard and providing enjoyment for all keeps us moving forward and pushing for greater things. All of our events are planned to reach out to our audiences - YOU - thank you! Without your support we would not exist!
We rehearse on Monday evenings, 7.30 - 9pm in the Studio Theatre, adjacent to the Harquail Theatre
